Tiger? Available.

Just a quick one...
On our first days in India we saw and heard lots of firecrackers - due to Diwali festival. Its the festival of light as the good won against the evil powers and Rama and some other god came down to earth (thats what we read).
After we left crazy Chennai we went to Ooty which is in the Nilgiri-mountains. The city itself was somewhat ugly but the bus and train ride there was the most beautiful we've ever done. The way from Metupalayam to Ooty was 46 km which took us about 5 hours.
After Ooty we went to Thrissur for one night. Again it took us 4,5 hours for 132 km... Something one really needs to get used to! On every train ride we had some more, some less really great people entertaining us.
Now we're in Kochi where it is really quiet and really not Indian at all. But the mosquitos remind us of where we are. Kerala people have some issues with beer and cigarettes. Yesterday we wanted to have a beer but we had to order milk tea - the beer was served in tea cups with the condition that if someone asked us we brought the beer ourselves. Also smoking is not allowed on the streets as in all of India (because of the health of others. I want to mention a city full of firecrackers, rikshaws and garbage everywhere).
Tomorrow we will move on to Mavelikara where the orphanage is. We will stay there for a few weeks and probably wont have internet until we are back for travelling in november/ december. We want to go to Rajasthan................
